Aston Martin V8 Vantage driving experience

Think Aston Martin and you can expect a line of powerful, stylish and smart sports cars. Of course, every car from this British automaker is a great model to drive, but the brand didn’t have anything close to a party piece, that’s why the Aston Martin V8 Vantage was born.

Aston engineers kept the proven 4.7-liter V8 under the plan, but redesigned the valve air intake system and improved the ignition strategy. These changes happened to increase more air to the engine at higher rpm and also ignited the gasoline more effectively. All of these factors lead to more power generation and more efficiency.

With modifications came an engine paired with either a seven-speed automated manual or a six-speed manual. It produces 361 pound-feet of torque and 430 horsepower. Additionally, engineers expected the car to hit 0-60 in just 4.6 seconds and be able to reach a top speed of 190 mph.

To ensure that the V8 stops and runs smoothly, the engineers took inspiration from the GT racing series and worked with a fast-ratio steering rack and high-performance brakes. With the price kept in the lower slot, it is taken as an introductory model to this range of British luxury automakers.

If you’ve driven a V12 Vantage S Roadster, you may not be comfortable driving a cheaper version or a less powerful engine. Also, I wouldn’t expect it to deliver a lively driving experience. You may find that your theories are wrong after driving this great car. Just a few changes and you’ll get used to the heavy but intuitive clutch, weight and direct steering, positioning and weight of the gearbox shift lever and linkage. After a few minutes of travel, you may feel that you are not driving a simple car, but operating a new appendage, and you will find that the car becomes part of you.

Honestly speaking, no other car would feel as intuitive as the V8 Vantage. Take this car for a spin and you won’t realize the burden of driving a car. It offers excellent grip and can change the transmission quickly. The handling is safe and you can drive on the highway without fear of losing your grip or control. Each component reaches perfection and you will love the experience.

V8 Vantage carries the legacy forward and offers the best facilities like any other Aston model, be it 2013 DB9, Volante or any other model.
