The Opera S2 and S5 wireless headphones are certainly unique in that they don’t actually use bluetooth, but rather a modern technology known as Clear, created especially for wireless music streaming. What this means is that you will need an adapter in order to connect to the unit, which may or may not be appropriate for your situation. Both versions are almost the same and have a range of 32 feet plus ten hours of playback. However, the S5 model type provides an iPod-compatible transmitter plus some control keys directly on the headphones, while the S2 opts for a basic 3.5mm-based transmitter to accommodate its non-Apple accessories.
The S2 and S5 headphones are conveniently recharged using the supplied USB cable. The S2 adapter also charges via USB. A double ended cable is included to allow charging of the headset and adapter at the same time. The electronic Opera S2 and S5 benefit from the Clear wireless system.
