How to remove tattoos: what to do if you have a blowout

One of the reasons some people are looking to remove tattoos is the fact that they may have encountered blowouts, which is where the ink appears to have spread from designated areas. Sometimes this is not really noticeable, however sometimes it is obvious and can cause a great deal of annoyance to people and thus will make them look for an option to get rid of it and make it look neater. There are many different ways that you can approach this option if you find it, and all of them are easy and relatively inexpensive to do.

How is it produced?

Blowouts are caused simply because the ink somehow works its way too deep into the skin and is absorbed by layers of oil, giving the impression that the ink is spreading where it shouldn’t be.

Sometimes this is done due to the fact that the artist you are using is heavy handed and then there are other occasions when the skin changes, for example from the side of the foot to the top of the foot (go from the side higher than the side would mean a change in the depth of the skin).

This can usually be avoided by many artists, but when it happens due to a mistake, there are a few things you can do to make it less noticeable.

cover ups

One thing you can do is cover it up or add a little more shade to the area. This won’t be difficult to do and your artist might be willing to make it cheaper if it shows.

Shading is usually easier as it means you don’t have to go through something entirely new on top of it, just a little added color around the sides to cover the leaked ink.

Removal cream

You can also go for the option to fade the surrounding area (which can affect your tattoo) to make it less noticeable if it is that bad. You can use things like removal creams for this to penetrate the skin and break down the unwanted ink pigment in the body.

If the piece is still quite fresh, you can also use aloe vera and because of the water-based solution, it will pick up the loose particles on the skin and make it fade as well.

Lasers

If you’re getting to the point where the ink is so bothersome that you just want the entire piece to go, then perhaps seeking laser removal could be an option. This can help target the small area that has a bang or if you are really not enjoying the new piece, you can also get rid of it entirely.

If you have an artist blowout that you always use then don’t go and ditch it for someone else as it was probably an accident that you have to remove the tattoo blowouts but if it is someone new who has done it regularly. then it might be time to take your options elsewhere.
