In the beginning: what is the real story? Part ii

Genesis chapter 2

Chapter two talks a little more about creation, goes into a little more detail; names of bodies of water and such. In my opinion, most of chapter two was the rule. There was only one. Just one rule!

I reviewed various versions of the verses and discovered that the rule was given to Adam before woman was created. I have read several books where the writers are putting the responsibility on Adam, for breaking the rule; But all my life they made me believe that Eva was responsible, so this was a bit confusing for me, now I understand it more.

Let’s put this in the perspective of a modern situation. You are Adam and Eve, and someone comes to you and tells you that they want to support you. He is going to host you in his mansion; This oceanfront home is 40,000 square feet and sits on 100 acres of land. There are 20 rooms in this house, not to mention all the other rooms. Each bedroom is a mansion unto itself with a living room, a separate full-size bathroom, and a closet as large as the bedroom. There is a fireplace and a small kitchen. So each bedroom in the house is like a private apartment. Your closet looks like the closet from the movie “Princess Dairies”. It is almost as big as the room itself and is full of clothes for every occasion, shoes of all styles and colors, a whole wall of jewelry, sunglasses; a pair for each outfit, a coat for all weather conditions, seven different umbrellas and a matching raincoat, hats, scarves and quadruped mirrors. In the house there is its own private lounge, a theater, a library and a covered resort area with a lap pool. Inside your bedroom door is a key ring with five sets of keys. The keys turn on the five cars that are parked in the twelve-car garage adjacent to the house. A candy red Corvette, a Bubble Bee painted Camaro, a midnight blue Buick Lacrosse, a candy red H3 and for those days when you don’t feel like driving a dark black Cadillac SLS. You don’t want anything, everything you need, want or want is yours just by asking for it. All you have to do is imagine yourself wanting something and it’s like he’s reading your mind, because – ‘poof’ is there. You have dominion and dominion; the servants of the house are at your disposal. The people of the city know who you are and treat you like royalty. There is a jet to take you where you want to go in the world, and you have an unlimited credit card in your name.

There is only one rule, stay away from the room with the golden door. It has been explained that this room is off limits because it contains the knowledge of good and evil and if you enter it you will surely die.

I have news for you, most people think this is a fantasy, but God wants each and every one of us to be happy. It may not be that elaborate for you. This is to clarify a point, but God wants you to lack nothing. God has promised each and everyone who believes and accepts Christ in their life this same happiness. Your heart desires, anything you can imagine, but I must continue the story.

This was what Adam and Eve were given, but on a much larger scale. They were in the Grace of God. His abundance was his abundance. His glory was his glory. His Peace was his peace, perfection, impeccability, justice.

So God put Adam in this beautiful place, gave him dominion and gave him dominion. Then create a match for Adam.

In the first part, we talked a bit about how meat is mentioned here. We talked a bit about how maybe the mention of meat was not meat as we know it, but something of a spiritual nature, something different.

The main reason for taking this path is due to the facts before us. God is not flesh; We know this because he sent his son to walk among us like flesh. We know that Jesus did not become flesh until he became man and walked among us. We know that although God the Father and Christ the Son are separate, they are one. We believe and perceive that angels are not flesh, they are not the heavenly hosts. I think there are angels walking among us, another topic for later.

Therefore, if man was created in the image of God and we / ours referred to in chapter one; it is possible to believe that man was also not made of meat in the way we think it. Of course, there is no argument / discussion to support stretching the mind like that after reading. [Genesis 2:23] the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she will be called woman,” because she was taken from man.

We can still safely reflect on the fact that being in the image (external) and likeness (internal) of God, man was of God, looks, feelings, thoughts, reasoning, etc.

So how many times have you sat and wondered what it would be like if you had this, or maybe if there was more money? What do you imagine in your life? What would make it perfect? Have you ever imagined yourself in the place of Eve, perhaps in the place of Adam? This life, this perfect life; everything you need, want, wish, dream or can even imagine.

This is the life that God wants for you, through the grace that comes with love and faith in his son and the sacrifice he made for all of us. The abundance of grace, the abundance of Christ; knowing and realizing the Love that was shown to us through his sacrifice.
