Is there a better time to SELL your house?

After more than a decade as a licensed real estate seller in New York State, I have often been asked if there is a better time to SELL one’s home. While there are many simplistic answers to this question, the reality is that it often depends on a number of factors and possibilities, such as personal situation, local real estate market conditions, economy, perceptions, needs, priorities, etc. With that in mind, this article will briefly try to consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important.

1. Strategy; system; strengths; stronger; arrange: When the time comes, when an owner decides if it is the right time to sell his house, he must, first, objectively know both the strengths and the weaknesses of his property. For most people, his goal is to sell, at the highest price possible, in the shortest amount of time, with a minimum of hassle/stress! To do so, you need a professionally designed strategy and a workable system, focused on real solutions! Consider your reasons for deciding to move, where you plan to move, financial and economic considerations/realities, and your personal comfort zone. When you interview real estate agents, hire the one who will actually listen to you and proceed to position your home, to make as much of it as possible in the local real estate market!

two. Empathy; emphasis; endurance; Excellence: An owner must listen to themselves and also hire an agent, who possesses the empathy, to fully consider the best course of action! Unless, until, one’s emphasis is on marketing and sales, and one has the discipline to proceed, with the stamina, to overcome obstacles and challenges, how can anyone expect the professionalism and excellence they seek!

3. Listen; learning; lessons: Both the homeowner and their agent need to listen effectively to find out if the sale makes sense and is in the best interest of the client. How the learning curve progresses and whether one learns the necessary lessons often determines whether a wise decision is possible and likely.

Four. Logic; long-term; Logistics: The decision to sell is often an emotional one, but when based on a specific need or needs, it is important to proceed, with well-developed and considered logic, to identify options and alternatives, and to proceed with prudence. ! Since, for most, the value of your home represents your single largest financial asset, it’s important to objectively consider the long-term ramifications of any decision and the logistical considerations, such as where to move, whether to sell, and whether it will make you happy. and will meet your needs, goals and priorities.

the best time for SELL your home is often determined by your personal needs. Remember, when the market is strong, while you will probably get a higher selling price, it will also cost you more, wherever you move! If you don’t consider your needs, you won’t meet them!
