Test Drive Unlimited Crash Fix

3. Copy the nvlddmkm.sys file to your desktop temporarily.

4. Double click to open the directory below:

C: Windows System32 Drivers

5. Rename the nvlddmkm.sys file to nvlddmkm.sys.old

6. Click the Start button.

7. Type Command Prompt in the search box.

8. Right-click and select Run as administrator.

9. Type the following commands one by one in the command prompt window:

CD..

expand.exe nvlddmkm.sy_ nvlddmkm.sys

10. Cut the nvlddmkm.sys file from your desktop to the following location:

C: Windows System32 Drivers

11. Once completed, restart your computer.

Modify registry keys

To stop blocking Test Drive Unlimited, modify your registry as shown below:

1. Click Start.

2. Type RegEdit and press ENTER.

3. Double click to expand the following registry location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control GraphicsDrivers

4. Click Edit | New, then DWORD value (32 bits).

5. Name the DWORD as TDRLevel.

6. Enter 0 as your value.

7. Press ENTER.

Update your drivers

Updating the drivers to the latest version can fix the game crashing. You can get the latest version on the website of the respective manufacturer.

Clean system junk

Too many files stored on your computer can cause Test Drive Unlimited to crash. Removing these junk files is essential. You must have a system utility software that includes the system cleaning function.
