The world of motorcycle jumping and stunting

Motorcycling, for its many enthusiasts, is considered one of life’s many joys. He also launched the men’s and women’s races, many of whom are now part of the global motorcycling hall of fame. This article will introduce some of the most famous people in sport and their fame.

Robert Craig Knievel or better known as Evil Knievel. Who could forget this supposed legend, the “King of the Daredevils”? He became the most famous motorcycle jumper in the world and has inspired too many people to follow the path he has taken. He began his career in the late 1960s and had set multiple entries in the Guinness Book of World Records throughout his entire career. He passed away on November 30, 2007.

Roger Lidell of Martinsville, Indiana, also known as Mr. Backwards. His claim to fame would be the motorcycle jump backward. Doing this earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and he even appeared on the hit TV show “Ripley’s Believe it or Not”. His last world record was jumping six cars backwards.

Super Joe Einhorn rose to fame: he jumped his Triumph 650 over 20 cars in 1971. He suffered many accidents during his career, but the one that triggered his retirement was a terrible accident in 1976 that left him partially with brain damage.

Henry “The Pitbull” Rife started jumping at the age of 5. He preferred quads for jumping and his biggest jump was 132 ‘from the ramp to the ground. He tried to jump a trailer from a house but failed, one that rendered him unconscious for nearly 45 minutes and sustained multiple bodily injuries. He came back and even appeared on the David Letterman Show last year in September.

“Fearless” Bob Siros – Bob was part of the Syros World Champion Daredevils Thrill Show. His claim to fame was the “Whirly Bird Jump” in which he jumped his motorcycle onto a helicopter while its blades spun.

Bob Duffey labeled “The Fastest Man on Two Upside Down Wheels”. Recorded ET of 11.71 seconds and a trap speed of 122 mph.

Bubba Blackwell – “The Buell American Daredevil” got his start in motorcycle racing and won the National Heavyweight Superbike Championship in 1988. But like many others, his dream is to become a stunt actor like his hero, Knievel. Claim to Fame: Jumping over 20 cars breaking his idol’s 19-car record set in 1971.

Debbie Evans, the queen of tests. The first woman to successfully compete in US events in the late 1970s and is considered the best female cyclist in the history of the sport. He is a member of the Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame.

Robbie Maddison. Claim to Fame: Breaking the previous record set for the “longest motorcycle jump.” He set a new record of 322 feet 7 inches (98.34 meters) in January 2008, which was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Debbie Lawler – “The Flying Angel”. She entered the world record for indoor motorcycle jumping for women. He was 21 when he jumped over 16 cars at the Houston Astrodome. The length of the jump was recorded at 101 feet.
