Buying a new car? Use Feng Shui to select your hit color
With the arrival of September comes the annual car buying season. But while it’s easy for most people to select the type of car, making a decision about a car’s color can be a hurdle. Some people simply go for their favorite color, while others ponder the color options considering factors such as the weather, the type of use of the vehicle or the most practical option, choosing what is least likely to show dirt. But what if even that fails? Then give feng shui a try, the Chinese guide used to organize homes and offices, which can also be used to select colors based on each individual’s personal feng shui.
According to personal feng shui, each person has an individual number that is based on gender and date of birth. This number, also called a “kua” number, is associated with a color. By selecting the correct color for an individual’s particular number, the driver will experience better luck especially since the color is harmonized with that individual.
Use personal feng shui to select a “hit” color, which can come in handy when shopping for that luxury sedan. More in soccer practice than in boardrooms? Pick a “familiar” color. Both colors are determined by the kua number of the conductor. The calculation is as follows:
-Take the year of birth, that is, 1971
-Add the last two years together (7 + 1 = 8)
For men, subtract the number from 10 (10-8 + 2); 2 is the kua number
For women, add 5 to the number (5 + 8 = 13; 1 + 3 = 4); 4 is the kua number
For years like 1982, which have two digits, be sure to reduce to a number
8 + 2 = 10 (1 + 0 = 1)
10-1 = 9 (Kua for men)
5 + 1 = 6 (Kua for women)
