Captain Morgan to cure sciatica

Although the title of this post may seem unusual, you may be surprised to discover that Captain Morgan may be the way to cure your sciatica pain once and for all.

Now, this is not Captain Morgan in the bottle, but it is the stretch of Captain Morgan performing as the pirate in the bottle.

So for all the people out there running out and buying a bottle of Captain Morgan, you can keep the bottle sealed, but take a look at the label and stand up like the Captain to help end the pain. Let me explain.

The stretch performed by pirate Captain Morgan in the bottle is exactly how to stretch to end the discomfort of piriformis syndrome. To help end the pain, stand on the leg opposite the one you’re experiencing sciatica. In other words, if you have pain in your left leg, you should stand on your right leg. While standing on your right leg, grab your left leg and place it on a stool or chair and pull your left leg behind or to the side of your hip. This stretch should not be painful, but you should bring your leg into a position where you feel a stretch in the back of your leg and in your buttock. This stretch is held for 15 to 20 seconds and then the leg is placed back on the ground and this stretch is done again up to 5 times in a row.

Most of the time, you will begin to feel relief after stretching within a few minutes of doing it. The only caveat when performing the stretch is that performing this stretch more than 5 times in a row is not more likely to decrease pain and more repetitions are NOT better for this stretch. If you follow the directions above for stretching, you have a good chance of stretching your piriformis muscle and relieving sciatic nerve irritation. Irritation of the sciatic nerve is often the cause of sciatic pain. If this stretch helps end your pain, you should check out the other information available on our website. The more information you have available, the better chance you have of stopping your sciatica pain. The Captain Morgan stretch is just one of several stretches that have been found to end sciatica pain without medication or surgery.
