Keyword research and analysis

Identifying the best and most suitable keywords for your business (website/blog) is the first and most important integral part of on page optimization and represents the overall success of search engine marketing.

If you are running a “Gift Shop” then your website obviously talks about your Gift Shop, location, products, services and more. So what you have to do is identify the search term related to your niche. There are many keyword tools available online to find your keywords, but I am confident that the Google keyword tool will only search for your target keywords and will help you provide more suggestions and search volume for each keyword you choose. .

Title tag optimization

Once you’ve identified your targeted keywords with your target audience in mind, you need to optimize for those keywords in each page title. A title tag should be short and at the same time readable by search engines and visitors. Make sure your title tag is unique and not the same as your competitors.

Things to consider:

The length of the title tag must be 70 characters and more than that, search engines will display an ellipsis (…) to indicate that extra characters could not be added to the title tag.

Placing your targeted keywords in the title tag is the most important thing, since search engines give priority to title tags first.

It is recommended and mandatory to place the keywords in the Titles and body of the content. It is explained in the next part.

Meta tag optimization

Most people consider the meta description not that important, but you can’t easily ignore it because it explains the entirety of your website. When people searched for your keyword and if your website appears, this small piece of text will act as a sales snippet.

The meta description must be 250 characters long and must contain your keywords. Make sure it is readable and does not confuse your visitors and search engines.

Meta Keywords is the place where you can list all the keywords that the page contains.
