Healthy lunch ideas for a fit body

We all love food, yet we restrict ourselves from eating our favorite foods. Eating well and in a balanced way is a big chore for busy people. Read this article to learn how busy people can choose healthy, balanced meals too. The article is written to provide some healthy lunch ideas for working people and homemakers.

During lunch, most of us are very busy at our workstations and it is difficult to choose a healthy lunch on a short break. And during lunchtime we all look for a nearby restaurant, like McDonalds, KFC, or Burger King. The cheesy, greasy food you ordered is a great filling, but it’s a completely unhealthy idea for lunch. Junk food is tasty and a great filler, but it adds a lot of unwanted calories to our bodies. If you want a healthy body, stop ordering junk food for lunch.

To be healthy and fit, you should eat a balanced meal during lunch and stop looking for restaurants near your work station. Try to pack your lunch at home before going to sleep at night or early in the morning at your convenience. You must be thinking that this is a tough job, however, give it a try for a while and I’m sure you will love your lunch and never blame yourself after eating it. At first, it can be difficult, as we are all surrounded by fast food restaurants and unhealthy snacks loaded with calories and fat. Eating can be fun and healthy once you understand the right food for your body.

Here are some of my test ideas for healthy lunches:

1. Veggie Burger: Stop eating greasy, cheesy burgers and try making a healthy veggie burger at home. You just need to choose some of the vegetables like:

Corn -half cup, mushroom- eight to ten finely chopped onion- one finely chopped, 1 can of drained chickpeas, garlic- two finely chopped, a small handful of coriander and chopped parsley, a teaspoon of olive oil, salt to taste. Mix all the mentioned ingredients and make balls. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes. Now, on a non-stick cookie sheet, place the veggie burgers for 10-15 minutes at 150 degrees. Serve the veggie burger with brown or pitta burger bap. This is a simple and easy healthy lunch idea for all workers.

2. Chicken and lettuce salad: for this recipe you need: a can of chicken broth, 4 fluid ounces of dry white wine, a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of olive oil, garlic, one finely chopped, 16 oz, boneless chicken, finely diced (breast chunks are recommended for this recipe), one finely chopped green, red and yellow bell pepper. A bunch of freshly chopped lettuce. In a skillet add the olive oil, the chicken pieces and the fried wine until the chicken is tender and then mix the rest of the ingredients with salt. Remove chicken from skillet and place in your lunch bowl and serve with shredded lettuce. This is a tasty and healthy lunch idea for chicken lovers.
