Hug your energy provider

Like most of you, I run a business and am always looking for a way to sell more of my service or save money. I make sure to itemize everything for taxes and I’ll probably like you and look forward to my tax returns. Especially during the years when I take a loss.

So of course when the energy regulations opened up so we could choose who we buy power and gas from… I started buying my electricity from a popular energy provider. We saved a lot of money… 30-35%. Now that was just for our residential needs.

A salesperson literally knocked on my door and showed me the difference between what that company could offer compared to what I was paying and we were so appreciative…really thought I’d hug the guy because it was so much less expensive but there is a warning to this. With this power provider, our power package was limited for a year or two. So after that time they raised the price of our energy even beyond what was the normal rate. If you don’t pay attention after you switch energy providers…they will tempt you and switch you and while you think you are getting a cheaper price of energy and gas…for a couple of years, your price actually goes up further what they were originally paying. Most people don’t realize this about switching energy providers.

So, as a business owner, I wanted to know if I could lower my business’s energy and gas rates. My normal day-to-day business is Online Marketing. I sell products and services online. So in my research, I found a company that not only offers cheap power and gas, but what they do is they create competition by displaying about ten different quotes for your power needs, including the length of time your offer lasts and a consultant who contacts you in a timely manner to ensure your rates are as affordable as possible. You can choose who provides you with the least expensive energy and gas. So because of this competition, my energy rates for my business are as low as they can get.

I know that many companies have changed their energy providers, but have you seen different energy rates from several different companies willing to compete for your business?

How does it work
