Manama Car Rental: A 60-Second Travel Guide to Top Tourist Attractions

All roads in Bahrain lead to Manama. If you are going to fly to this capital very soon, do not forget to hire a car rental in Manama. These are some of the tourist destinations that you can easily drive to.

Al-Fateh Mosque – Forget big. Al-Fateh is not just big; It is gigantic. It is one of the few mosques in the world that can accommodate more than 7,000 people at a time!

Corniche al-Fateh – For a light-hearted stroll along Manama’s east coast, head to this promenade. Besides a great view of the towering skyscrapers to the south and planes landing and taking off at a nearby airport, you also have a wide range of fun rides and shisha bars to choose from!

Bahrain Fort – The Bahrain Fort was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. This newly renovated fort was built sometime in the 14th century. Recent excavations revealed, however, that the fort itself was built on top of an even older settlement, dating back to 3000 BC.

Casa Bin Matar – Casa Bin Matar is also called the Place of Remembrance, and quite aptly. A famous architect named Mussa Bin Hamad designed it in 1905. In the 1940s, the well-known doctor Bandar Kab used it as a clinic. From the 1950s and well into the 1990s, the building was used by the Eslah Club.

Barbar Temple – Another of Bahrain’s famous archaeological sites, this temple is said to have been built in 3000 BC. There ceramics, weapons, tools and even small pieces of gold were found during the excavation.

Of course, there is more to Manama than its historical structures. Get the most out of the city by sampling local delicacies and immersing yourself in cultural activities.
