Practicing forgiveness

“Because if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:14

One of the beauties of Christ is that through Him you have the grace to succeed in a new life. Through it you can obtain forgiveness for yourself so that you can start over! Forgiving yourself is paramount on your journey, but God’s living Spirit is critical to your success.

Quickly forgive:

Forgive yourself quickly. Forgive your family quickly. Forgive your enemies quickly. Forgiveness is the foundation of good mental health, self-love, and the ability to love others.

Not all transgressions are directed at you.

“The torture of a bad conscience is the hell of a living soul.”

John calvin

“Man has two great spiritual needs. One is forgiveness. The other is kindness.”

Billy graham

Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry, because our anger does not produce the justice that God desires.

James 1:20

I once saw a woman following her two children down the sidewalk in her suburban neighborhood. As it happens, there was a tree that had grown long enough in the yard that its roots had raised the sidewalk about half an inch. As the two cheerful children approached the crevice, they both tripped over the concrete edge. One of the children jumped up and continued, the other sat there and cried angrily kicking the cement.

Failures are milestones on the road to achievement.

CS Lewis

This is the same effect that sin has on us. It is also the effect that unforgiveness has on us. Sin, represented in this story by the crack in the sidewalk, is not a big deal when quickly forgiven. Dwelling in sin is like sitting crying kicking concrete. It’s exactly what the devil wants us to do. If we do not forgive ourselves, we will be sitting crying on the sidewalk. If we don’t forgive others … you guessed it … we’re just sitting on the sidewalk, kicking and crying.

Because if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive their sins. Matthew 6:14

The benefit of forgiveness:

Then we will understand, let me be very clear: forgiveness on your part is good for you. Forgiving others frees you, not them! They are governed by the same law as you. They must forgive you if they want to be forgiven, but that’s their problem, NOT YOURS.

Remember what Joel Osteen said about breaking your arm in three places? Here’s a kid kicking on the sidewalk, if you are that kid and can’t get past the crack in the sidewalk, find a way not to walk on the sidewalk anymore, but don’t stop walking.

He widely forgives:

Forgive everyone who offends you and ignore their actions. Because the many things we forgive will be forgiven us.

You will be told, “Hold a high standard for people and they will achieve it.” But I tell you not to hold people to a high standard. They will not live up to your expectations because they are also taking care of themselves. If the people could live up to the expectations, there would have been no need for Jesus, because the people would have lived up to the law. Similarly, don’t limit yourself to such a high standard that you are always disappointed in yourself. It is better to have many small goals that are achievable than one big goal that you will never reach.

If I’m gossiping about someone, I haven’t forgiven them, that’s why they control me. If I complain about someone, I have not forgiven them, that’s why they control me. If I am angry, hurt, disappointed or resentful … I have a need to forgive. Because as I stand by the water cooler spewing malapropos wise cracks that would seem to point to the ‘guilty party’, I discover that I am actually committing hari-kari on my own soul.

I have forgiven a lot, but there is much more to forgive.

I have been forgiven, but there will still be more to be forgiven.

Everywhere there are challenges and problems; they are more numerous than we can count. We have the power to surpass each one of them; they are but stairs to our success and happiness.

“Everyone has to fight to be free.”

Petty tom

“Anger only dwells in the bosom of fools.”

Albert Einstein

Spiritual and mental health are based on forgiveness. If someone continually makes you have to forgive him; parting with them. This way you can forgive them and get over it.

Forgive completely:

If someone is always condemning you, you must realize two things. First, the resentment, bitterness, and anger that caused them to turn this way is not their possession or their obligation. Second, you are not required to remain in their presence or be in their company. Don’t embrace their hatred or take in their pain.

Power of confession:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 9

Let’s look at the story of the two little boys again and change it up a bit. The first child trips over the crack, falls, turns around and looks at the crack. While this child is standing, the child thinks, “I need to take another step when I see something like this.” This is a small confession, no doubt, but it is still a confession. The second sits there crying and kicking the crack without accepting the need to learn to step on it. (Someone should fix that old crack – it’s not my fault I fell.)

Confession removes the power of sin. Do you remember the corner CS Lewis wrote about? Do you remember the place in our minds and hearts where we hide from God? Sin is what separates us from God, and it does not matter if it occurs by premeditation or spontaneity, the fact is that we think that we are keeping a secret that we tell ourselves that God does not know. We keep this secret as if general knowledge of it causes us pain on some level. However, the real fact is that everyone has some similar ‘sin’ and the confession of it leaves the tyrant ‘sin’ crownless and robbed of its power.

If you confess your sin, it doesn’t matter if the person you sinned against forgives you or not. It doesn’t matter if the sin is not ‘against’ anyone, it could be an embarrassment or some other historical oddity. In any case, sin no longer has power over you and the guilt that accompanies it (albeit present) has lost its authority because it no longer has jurisdiction. There is no reason to hide anymore because sin lost its power when the light shone in the recess of the secret.

Confession is the fuel for the flame of forgiveness that consumes the guilt that would have consumed you.

Confession illuminates that dark place and returns property to God.

Power of forgiveness:

You and I have the power to forgive and be forgiven. Apologize to those whom you feel you have offended. When you ask for their forgiveness, you must have the determination in your heart that you will do your best to be better next time, knowing that sometimes your best is not good enough. Asking for their forgiveness does not force them to forgive you, so you must accept the result; again knowing that you have done everything you can. The law now acts in them as in you; They must forgive you if they want to be forgiven.

“Therefore, if you are offering your offering at the altar and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your offering there in front of the altar. First go and reconcile with that person; then come and offer your offering.” Matthew 5:23

Be the best you can be. We always strive to be the best that we can be. Don’t live to become someone else or to meet someone else’s unrealistic expectations based on your own greed or ambition. Learn to be happy with the best that you are. Don’t judge yourself too harshly and learn to forgive yourself and others quickly. Free yourself from the perceived obligations of guilt; focus on the positive aspects of the relationship. Always make sure that the speck of dust you see in your neighbor’s eye is not actually the table you have in your own eye.

You cannot create in another person’s reality. Don’t ask anyone to be different so you can feel good. Free yourself from the weight of the responsibility of having to control the world. If you do, you will be happy in life because the crack in the sidewalk is just a crack, no one is to blame. No need to fix it. We just have to learn to lift our feet a little more.

Anthony Robbins coined a word: CANI! It means constant and endless improvement. In short, it describes the process of consciously finding something each day to improve.

Once your truth is found, set your goals based on your truth. This is the truth; our Father who is in heaven is the only true God. He is everything to us. He forgave us. So we must also forgive. By withholding pain, pain, and transgression against others, we only hurt ourselves.

Forgiveness is the beginning of spiritual health.

Set goals that you can achieve. Fulfilling them will strengthen your faith. Faith is the substance of the things you hope for and will provide you with a full and abundant life.

“The supreme act of bravery is to forgive ourselves. What I was not but could have been. What I would have done but did not do. Can I find the strength to truly remember, to understand, to submit, to forgive, and be free to move on in time? ”

Martin Luther King

Several years ago I broke my neck. They took me to surgery and thanks to the wonders of modern medicine I was able to regain an active life. However, my neck never stopped hurting and the range of movement I have with my head is limited. Usually the pain is not severe and I have adjusted to the inability to look up. After a few years I am as healed as I will be, but every day I am aware of my neck.

Sometimes forgiveness is like that. You are as healed as you will be, but you still have the scars and sometimes they hurt. They shouldn’t stop you from moving on.

“Learn from the past, don’t live in it.”

Anthony robbins

You cannot achieve your future goal while concentrating on the past.

Learn how to win:

Get aligned with what you are asking for. If you are asking to be a top-tier widget creator, you should start studying the science and application of widget creation. Otherwise, how would you be ready to be a widget creator when the opportunity comes? How long will this last? It is a question of you aligning yourself with God. Alignment with God begins with forgiveness.

Resume:

The power in you is greater than the power in the world. Release it with forgiveness! Boost it with confession!

God’s law is always working, it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not, it is still working; For or against you, you choose.

Forgive others. Forgive yourself Do it now.

God’s promise: God loves us and forgives us completely. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Key to success: let go of the weight to run the race. Put aside the weight of unforgiven sins and focus on your goal.

Sing: “There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary, and love for the broken hearts. There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing. He will find you wherever you are. Cry out to Jesus.” Third day
