The importance of exterior walls

Homeowners like to use brick siding for the exterior walls of their homes. Brick is normally the automatic choice for exterior decoration due to its uniqueness, beauty and durability advantage over other materials.

Brick has long been seen as the cladding material and exterior trim for walls, as it is strong, durable, and beautiful to the touch and pleasing to the eye. Taking care of it is not a headache for the owner since it does not need paints.

Facing walls that are made of bricks do not fade, are durable and eternal, even in adverse climatic and environmental conditions. This is the reason why it is preferred as a proper insulation for exterior walls and as protection of the house against the damages caused by the different weather patterns that tend to negatively affect the exterior walls of the houses.

Care should be taken to apply a clear varnish to brick walls as they are naturally porous to protect them from the effects of moisture during rainy or frosty seasons such as winter.

Typically used on wood frame walls over construction paper, where a combination of cement, sand, lime and water is mixed and used to set bricks firmly.

This mortar that is used to hold bricks in place can also be decorated to make it look more attractive. The decoration can take different forms, such as concave, flush with bricks, extruded between the bricks or raked. Some are joined in V.

There’s a new contemporary material that looks like brick and it’s called brick siding. This is a man-made material that is now finding popularity among homeowners as a replica brick. It is not as heavy as the old brick, it is in various colors, textures and sizes. It has unique creative patterns and a modern touch, yet it is very similar to old brick in terms of durability and longevity.

Those who choose brick veneers should at least find the qualified masons to do a suitable job for them.
