UPS Job Application

If you have come to this page, then you must be interested in completing a UPS job application. Before I go any further, let me first give you a little background on this Fortune 500 company so you can make an educated and informed decision on whether or not you want to continue filling out that UPS job application. I would also like to give you information for an alternative, but that will come later.

A little story:

In 1907, a man named James E. (“Jim”) Casey borrowed $100 from a friend and established the American Messenger Company in my hometown of Seattle, Washington. There were already quite a few courier services in the Seattle area, some of which Jim had worked for in the past. In response to phone calls in the basement of its headquarters, located under a sidewalk, couriers ran errands, delivered packages, carried notes and luggage. Most of this was done on foot, but was occasionally delivered by bicycle for longer trips. Their biggest customer in this era was the United States Post Office, where they began combining packages that were headed for a particular neighborhood into delivery vehicles. This made things more efficient and kept costs and fees low. Skipping ahead to 1919, the company adopted its current name of United Parcel Service, a name everyone is familiar with when they see their big brown delivery trucks roll by on the roads today.

Job Opportunity:

Known for their slogan, “we run the tightest ship in the shipping business,” they are truly the largest and most successful package delivery company in the world. They operate in more than 200 countries and employ more than 400,000 people worldwide. They strongly encourage continuing education by offering tuition assistance programs and have a strong internal promotion policy. This provides the employee with the potential for new goals and opportunities. They offer career options anywhere from package handlers to information services positions. They have a comprehensive benefits package, offering medical, dental, vision, and a 401k plan. They have been recognized as one of the 50 Best Places to Start a Career by BusinessWeek. These are all very good reasons why you should consider filling out that UPS job application, but should you? While UPS may be a great company to work for, will it really fulfill your life dreams and aspirations? Don’t you feel like you deserve more than that?

Now the alternative:

Have you ever dreamed of working for yourself? Have you ever considered working from home where you don’t have to worry about whether you’ll make it to work on time or meet the next deadline? Wouldn’t it be wonderful not to have to worry about whether the next layoff will affect you? Why not consider using the power of the Internet to provide you with the stability you need to achieve your life goals and dreams? Consider a business where you can literally have hordes of people coming directly to you for your products and services. This is an option for you today that didn’t exist a decade ago, and all you need is a laptop and internet connection. If you receive the proper training and support, your potential can be enormous. I can lead the way if you follow me.
