Using a wedding theme to reduce wedding costs
There’s nothing like a well-thought-out theme to make your wedding celebration completely unique and memorable for a fraction of the cost. A wedding theme should tell your guests something about the two of you as a couple and as individuals because that is what makes it unique. If you share a love of sports, perhaps a sports-themed wedding is right for you. Or maybe you met at the beach, where you probably wanted to choose a beach-themed wedding. Once you’ve decided on your wedding theme, you’ll want to make sure that every element of your wedding celebration reflects that singular theme. And that includes wedding favors and gifts.
If you can’t think of a themed wedding favor idea, a good way to start is to think about things that are included or that reflect the theme. For example, if you are having an Asian-themed wedding, there are great Asian wedding favors available all over the place, including the internet, that have Asian designs. Some of these samples include fortune cookies, chopsticks, and takeout boxes, and there are many beautifully designed favors featuring these designs at even dollar stores these days. Some of my favorites are a fortune cookie card holder, a silver takeout box that has the couple’s names engraved on it. Here are some other inexpensive ideas for your different wedding themes:

These are just some examples. The good news is that no matter what your theme is, you can find matching wedding favors as long as you think of things that make you think of that theme. If you are having a beach-themed wedding, you may want to consider favors with items like shells, fish, sand, and water. Look for designs with motifs like beach umbrellas, flip flops because they are easy to add to your theme and are cheap.
For a really stylish and useful beach-themed favor, nothing beats a beautiful silver dolphin-shaped bottle opener or shell-shaped candle accent when you add it to the festivities. But if that’s beyond your budget, there are some great and cheap wedding favors you can use like a shell card holder, a mini beach bucket filled with candy, etc.
