Vitamins for acne prevention

Vitamin A

Vitamin B

All of these are great contributors to promoting and maintaining healthy skin. The recommended daily dose to combat acne is 100 mg 3 times a day of B1, B2 and B5, B6 and 200 mg 3 times a day of B3.

Vitamin C

Taking vitamin C with bioflavonoids has an anti-inflammatory effect. It also helps in healing the skin and is beneficial in boosting the immune system. Vitamin C also removes toxins and other pollutants from your body.

The recommended daily dose to fight acne is 3000-5000 mg.

Chrome

Skin infections can be reduced with the help of Chromium, however Chromium is not easily absorbed through food and it has been observed that high levels of sugar in your diet can lower your Chromium levels, so taking a chromium picolinate or chromium polynicotinate supplement may help. The RDA for fighting acne 150 mcg (micrograms) per day.

Vitamin E

Taking vitamin E has been shown to play an important role in protecting the skin from environmental and oxidative damage and has excellent healing components, especially for acne. Zinc
