Why Preppers and Survivors Should Never Wear Jeans – Gold Camo

The show “Doomsday Preppers” sees guys decked out in cool tactical gear and camouflage as they show off their weapons and food stocks. However, unless he is in a tactical situation with his assault rifle in his hands, he should never wear camouflage in a post-collapse America.

Wearing cool camouflage in an urban setting after an economic meltdown tells your viewers a lot of things you don’t want them to know. He tells them that whether you’re a veteran or a hunter, you probably have weapons. That’s a great way to market YOUR vehicle as the one that can be entered with the best potential reward.

Oddly enough, wearing camouflage also makes you stand out. The last thing you want to do when crime is skyrocketing due to an economic meltdown is stand out. You want to be inconspicuous and inconspicuous, both to make it less likely to be singled out as a potential target, and to make it easier if you decide to come to someone’s aid.

The other item of clothing that is a bad idea to wear is blue jeans. The reason is that jeans are made from cotton, or as avid backpackers call it, “fabric of death.” Cotton is a really bad idea for a situation where you might have problems because it holds water and takes forever to dry.

If you get wet wearing blue jeans and it’s not a hot day, you won’t appreciate the cooling effect of wearing wet jeans. This has probably never been a problem for most of us in our lives, but in a post-crash situation, we need to be as smart as possible and not use things that will compromise our safety.

Imagine being in a situation where you suddenly become a pedestrian because your vehicle is retired and you have to walk 10 miles home in the rain or snow wearing cotton pants. Now compound the situation with the fact that your personal safety is at risk in an atmosphere of civil unrest and every little thing that takes away your energy and effectiveness becomes a serious security issue.

There’s a lot to learn about being a prepper that you won’t get to see on prepper TV shows. But the good news is that the information is available for those who want to take serious steps to be safer at home and in their cars.
