You don’t want to do a full Restoration build, as it will surely slow down your leveling; however, the Restoration tree can be partially taken as detailed below.

If you want to level up quickly as a wild druid, then you should definitely specialize in your Cat Form ability. Why? Well, you might be tempted to specialize in one of the bear forms that are available, however the damage dealt in cat form is significantly better. Because of this focus on cat form, you’ll naturally come across talents that are actually better for bears than cats. When you do, feel free to skip them.

Note that this is a solo leveling build targeting ways to maximize the damage done by your Cat Form.

Wild Leveling Construction

There are several reasons why you should choose the talents listed for this build; however, it’s probably best in this case to explain why you can skip talents that aren’t useful.

Since Swipe is a Bear ability, you don’t need it. As you level up, the reduced chance of becoming visible isn’t very important.

Again, regarding quick leveling, Thick Hide is mostly for the druid tank type and doesn’t add anything of value in this case.

Brutal Impact is a bit different where it’s still a Bear ability for the main part, which helps reduce Bash’s cooldown and also increases Bash by a second. However, if you have a point to spare, you’ll still get a one-second increase in Cats Pounce’s stun duration, which is definitely better than an eye poke.

The natural reaction is purely a bear talent and in this version YOU ARE A CAT… Nuff said!

Because you will be staying in cat form, Primal Tenacity is not very useful in your leveling quests. Also, the fear and stun effects are not a killer when you are leveling up.

Now for the talent additions…

We added some Restoration talents to the Feral Druid Spec for three very important reasons. Improved Mark of the Wild is still high on the rankings for good buffs. Do you want to increase your damage done by 10%? Then you need Naturalist! Lastly, Omen Of Clarity allows you to use your abilities without burning an ounce of energy!

Libra Druid

Libra druids really preach with their name! They try to get as much damage as possible, but they need to be balanced so they rarely or never run out of mana.

Balance Leveling Construction

I would advise against Genesis because Wasp Swarm and Moonfire are the only points that can be used, so it’s really worthless.

Brambles are worth getting because you can always use a bunch of Entangling Roots while you’re leveling up, as well as Bark Skin, Thorns, and Treants being boosted.

Don’t bother throwing this in a mob, but upgraded fairy fire is great for raids!

You’ll notice that both of these WoW druid builds focus on maximizing damage output. The theory behind this is quite simple due to the fact that you can heal from time to time; You really don’t need much survivability!
