Male Breast Development: How To Reduce Gynecomastia

If you’re a man with overly developed or enlarged breasts like me, you’re probably pretty self-conscious about your appearance. Well, you are not alone! Many men would like to discover a way to effectively reduce the development of their man boobs. I was able to significantly reduce my gynecomastia without surgery, so it’s certainly possible.

Male breast development is a condition that affects about 40% to 60% of men. It is caused by many different factors, such as the use of anabolic steroids, alcohol consumption, any medications that contain estrogen, impaired liver function, and many other causes. Genetic inheritance has not really been scientifically confirmed yet, although it will most likely play a part.

Enlarged male breasts can occur during puberty as a natural part of the maturation process. In most cases, breast enlargement goes away on its own. But when breast swelling doesn’t go down, you need to take steps to reduce or eliminate it.

Surgery for gynecomastia involves the surgeon making small incisions or removing fat tissue with liposuction. In some cases, additional skin may also be removed for a firmer, flatter chest appearance. However, the surgery is expensive, the healing period can be problematic, and only healthy men who do not smoke should have the surgery.

Regardless of your age or the cause of your “man boobs,” surgery should only be used as a last resort. Fortunately, you can reduce the development of your man boobs without resorting to dangerous surgery, just like I was able to do. Surgery should not be recommended especially for those of you who are overweight or obese, until at least other steps are taken to reduce the size of your breasts.

The first steps to reduce breast enlargement should include exercise and weight loss. Weight loss can be achieved with a healthy diet, aerobic exercise, and strength training.

You can start by slowly reducing any meat in your diet and adding more salads and vegetables to detoxify your body. This can help your body get into the best state to lose chest fat.

You can also include more protein from nuts and fibrous foods to reduce hunger and speed up your body’s metabolism, leading to weight loss.

And, in fact, there are exercises you can do that will specifically target the fat in your breast tissue and help reduce it. They may seem simple, but they sure do work!

One of those exercises is jumping jacks. Another is an isometric exercise, in which you stand against a wall in a semi-crouched position and lean your body against the wall as hard as you can.
