Satan’s Keyword Strategies Exposed!

What are keyword strategies and how can we benefit from this concept? What it is about is that satan uses strategies to steal, kill and destroy. We must not be ignorant of their tricks and we must be cunning as serpents and harmless as doves, always remembering that we are sheep among wolves. So it becomes very important to have an idea of how Satan does what he does.

First of all, Satan doesn’t impress me. I find nothing impressive in it at all. But that doesn’t mean he can ignore the fact that he’s on the loose. What is most important to realize is that Satan is defeated but he is not imprisoned. He has no power over us, but if he gives an inch, he will take ten miles. Satan is not a bigger reality to me than Jesus Christ. Sin is not a greater reality than grace. Satan is not equal to God in any way, shape or form. God didn’t just kick him out of heaven. Satan is in no way a match for the Creator of heaven and earth. Now, with that said, let’s take a look at one of the strategies he employs to keep us from being caught off guard.

One of the main strategies employed is what I call “keyword strategies”. There are certain words in the scriptures that are keywords. First of all, the Scriptures are the inspired word of God, so yes, they are all keywords. Satan’s strategy is to corrupt the meaning of certain words to deceive God’s people. If it can alter our understanding or use of certain words, it can rob us of the truth and power conveyed in those words and keep us arguing with each other. You don’t need to corrupt words like; the, and, this, that, come, well, you get the idea. But what if it can corrupt our understanding of the word FAITH? Playing with that word can cause a lot of trouble and cause God’s people to debate each one. What if it can corrupt our understanding of words like; righteousness, sanctification, justification, grace, and the like. Obviously that would be devastating. That’s why it’s called keyword strategies. Play with certain words critical of the faith and you ruin everything. Really what better way to deceive the people of God. If frontal attacks don’t work, he will inadvertently try to infiltrate the camp through our teachings.

Take the word faith. I think this is a very simple concept. It’s amazing how many books have been written about it and it’s such a simple word. So many books written just about this word, one word. How is it possible that so many books are needed to explain a single word? Perhaps because over time the word faith has taken on a definition that is not purely biblical. It just occurred to me that it might take a big book to correct misunderstandings.

My definition of faith is this; It is a gift that comes from God as a message. The message is declared by the messenger He chooses to send. Being convinced of the truth of the message, in my heart, I declare that belief with my mouth. The message that was declared to me offered both promises and instructions. I believe in promises and set out to obey instructions from the heart. For what I believe to be seen in what I do, that is faith! Simple yes! It didn’t take a book, let alone hundreds of them, to explain this. The further we get from the truth, due to wrong definitions, the longer it takes to try to explain it.

How much pain has been caused, how much separation from each other, how much debate and rejection all because we are trying to understand the word of God with incorrect definitions? It is my firm opinion that if a teaching is wrong, you can discover where it is wrong in the definitions of the most frequently used words in that teaching. With all this in mind, a careful examination of our beliefs from time to time as Christians seems to be in order. We must become wise with the strategies of our enemies so that we do not give them room to bring division and conflict into the camp.

Well, I’m sure you get the gist of what I’m saying. Shedding light on the nature of the strategies used against us will help us all to be more victorious for the glory of God. There are undoubtedly other strategies, but I believe this is one of the key strategies that Satan employs to corrupt society and, if possible, the church. God give us wisdom!
