"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtles Forever" DVD Review

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back! When I first came across this movie, I hadn’t realized that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had already been around for 25 years. It’s been a long time, and in honor of its 25th anniversary, Nickelodeon has decided to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever for the first time on DVD. Regarding the review, I’m going to cut right to the chase and say that the girls who saw this with me were not interested at all. But the boys, however, were a completely different story. Turtles Forever can be a great movie for them to watch.

In this latest movie release, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet… the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! The Turtles from one dimension meet the Turtles from another dimension when a teleportation mishap occurs in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever. Together, all the turtles must locate the Technodrome to fix this mess. Meanwhile, the Shredder tracks down his counterpart Ch’rell, who comes up with a master plan to travel back to the Prime Universe to get rid of the Turtles once and for all. As worlds collide, the Turtles come face to face with classic characters like Splinter, Casey, and April, and a host of archenemies, including Krang, Hun, Foot Soldiers, Purple Dragons, Bebop, and Rocksteady.

Have you never heard of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Here is a little history about them:

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a team of four mutant turtles, trained by their beloved rat master, Master Splinter, in the art of Ninjutsu.

They are named after four Renaissance artists, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.

The Turtles fight criminals, evil megalomaniacs and alien invaders,

The Tortoise does all of his exploits while remaining isolated from society and living freely in his home in the sewers of New York.

These characters initially appeared in comics before being licensed for toys, cartoons, video games, movies, and other merchandise. It became one of the most popular franchises of the last 25 years, earning $260 million worldwide.

The street release date for this film is August 24, 2010 and the suggested retail price for the DVD is $16.99. However, you can usually find it at a discounted rate, by ordering it on Amazon or checking out other big box stores. (Duration of the DVD – 73 Minutes).

Review result: I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Awesome DVD for kids but if you only have girls it might not be as entertaining for them.
