What considerations should be taken into account when buying water dispensers?

Many of us are unaware of the fact that a water cooler and a water dispenser are completely different things. While the water cooler cools the water, a dispenser may or may not. Today’s market is flooded with water dispensers and offers an extensive list to choose from depending on your needs and budget, and selecting among them can be a herculean task for some of us.

The following are some of the factors worth considering before purchasing a water dispenser:

  • Writes: It is important to find out the basic requirements of the dispenser. There are many types of dispensers on the market, such as wall mounted dispensers, bottle dispensers, countertop dispensers, point of use dispensers, etc. Decide in advance whether you need a refrigerator dispenser or a water cooler, a hot and cold water dispenser, or room temperature.

  • Space: The amount of space available will decide whether you should purchase a wall mounted dispenser or a freestanding dispenser. Bottleless hot and cold water dispensers take up less space and are quite tidy.

  • Capacity: If you want a dispenser for your office or for public use, go for one with a large storage capacity so you don’t have to refill it over and over again. But if you want it installed in your home, a little storage space will do.

  • Technical debugging: Usually we need to manually put a bottle of filtered water into the dispenser, but some dispensers come with filters. They have a carbon-based filtration technique that removes particles and impurities from the water. Some have UV (Ultra-Violet) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) technique that acts as a filter. Gravity filtration and bacteria proof filters are also available. We must ensure that the filtration technique used does not remove essential minerals from the water.

  • Maintenance: Dispensers with a body type that needs less maintenance and are easy to clean have always been in high demand.

  • Filter: Always make sure that the water dispenser you buy comes with an internally installed filter, as you would not want to buy a dispenser that simply serves hot and cold water.

  • Cup holder and drip tray: Cup holders make the use of a water dispenser feasible. Cups can be placed in cup holders and used from time to time without the need to search for cups in the kitchen.

  • Security features: The dispensers come with a child lock feature to prevent children from spilling water. In addition, it prevents children from burning their skin when using the hot water tap.

  • Look: Water dispensers today come in attractive styles and finishes to blend well with area décor, whether you want to install it in your office area or your kitchen or in public places like hospitals or even parks.

  • Price: The price of a water dispenser depends on the features and the brand. The more features, the more the price. If you want a budget dispenser, choose one with basic features.
